Ryuichi Sakamoto Live at the Knitting Factory
Back in 1996, I was producing and directing a live multicamera shoots of musicians and bands performing at the Knitting Factory . . . and luckily for me, I was blessed with having the opportunity to work with many different artists! Here is the esteemed Ryuichi Sakamoto supporting his album 1996. Here are four songs he and his trio performed that night - Bibo No Aozora which was originally released on the 1996 album but would make it's way onto the Babel soundtrack; Rain, from the Last Emperor Soundtrack; Sheltering Sky, the title track from the motion picture by Bertolucci and Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence.
